Wolves are looking to breathe new life into their race for a top-six finish this weekend when they take on the Seagulls, following the disappointing defeat to the Clarets. The Premier League clash between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 30, at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolverhampton Wanderers saw their attempts to sneak into the top-six thwarted by a 1-0 defeat to Burnley, courtesy of a single goal from Matej Vydra (62') at Turf Moor. The defeat leaves the club with back-to-back losses, WLWLL, and in 8th place, having picked up 49 points from 15W, 4D, and 14L. Qualification for European football of any kind remains the sole objective for Wolves this season. But the Wanderers sit five points outside the top-six, and a victory here could see Wolves close the gap to two if favorable results emerge elsewhere. Wolves have won their last two league games against Brighton, as many as they had in their previous 16 against them, and are aiming for a league double over the Seagulls for the first time. However, Wolves are on their longest run of Premier League games without a draw, with none of their last 15 games in 2022 so far ending level [8W, 0D, & 7L]. On Saturday, a 3—4—2—1 formation with Raúl Jiménez at the top of the shape is expected from Bruno Lage. On availability, Rúben Neves and Daniel Podence are both ruled out of this weekend’s clash, alongside Maximilian Kilman.

The Premier League fixture, Burnley FC vs. Wolverhampton Wonderers, kicks off at 14:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, April 24, at Turf Moor.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are coming off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United, having failed to take part in any Premier League action over the weekend or in mid-week. Wolves sit in 8th place on the Premier League table, having picked up 49 points from 15W, 4D, & 13L, looking to return to winning ways, WWLWL, following the narrow loss to the Magpies. Wolves are winless in their last five away league games against Burnley [0W, 2D, & 3L] since a 2-1 win in March 2010. However, they’ve not lost consecutive league visits to Burnley at Turf Moor since November 1963. A top-six finish still remains within grasp for Wolves, as they trail the section by six points, with a handful of games to go. Bruno Lage could line up three at the back once again in a 3—4—2—1 formation, leaving Fábio Silva in attack. Meanwhile, Daniel Podence remains in doubt for the weekend’s game.

In what appears to be a reverse in fortunes, the Magpies make their return against Wolves following the embarrassing Premier League defeat to Spurs last weekend, as they look to put a stop to the steady descent down the table. Newcastle United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers kicks off at 20:00 (GMT+1) on Friday, April 8, at St. James’ Park.

Meanwhile, the Wanderers picked up a 2-1 win over Aston Villa on home soil last weekend at the Molineux Stadium. "It was a great performance from us, especially in the first half," Bruno Lage said right after the win over the Lions. The victory leaves the club in 8th place on the Premier League table, having picked up 49 points from 15W, 4D, and 12L. With the opportunity to pick up back-to-back victories, LWWLW, Wolves are hoping to see favorable outcomes emerge elsewhere for a chance to move two spots ahead into sixth place. Bruno Lage's side are looking to complete a top-flight league double over Newcastle United since they last did so in the 1953/54 edition of the Premier League. Raúl Jiménez remains unavailable due to a red-card suspension, leaving Fábio Silva as the likely option in attack for a probable 3—4—2—1 formation. On availability, Rúben Neves (knee injury) is in doubt for the weekend's game, along with Daniel Podence (knock).

After giving up a two-goal lead in a gut-wrenching defeat to the Peacocks just before the international break, Wolves return to take on the Lions this weekend, looking to get their top-six ambitions back on track. Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Aston Villa kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 2, at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolves were in the comfort zone with a two-goal lead over Leeds United at the break until things took a turn for the worse after Raúl Jiménez was shown the red in the 53rd minute. Leeds struck twice in a span of ten minutes to see both sides at parity before a last-gasp effort from Luke Ayling (90'+1) sent Wolves reeling to the curb. The disappointing 3-2 loss was the third defeat in five Premier League games for Wolves, LLWWL, leaving them in 8th place with 46 points after 14W, 4D, & 12L. Bruno Lage has been coy over Wolves’ ambitions for a European place at the end of the season, but a top-six finish appears to be on the cards for the 45-year-old. Wolves are looking to complete a league double over Aston Villa this season as the fifth club to do so after Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham United, and Watford. Meanwhile, Bruno Lage will be without Raúl Jiménez [one-match suspension] due to the red when he lays out the 3—4—2—1 formation, which could see Hwang Hee-Chan take the Mexican’s place in attack. Rúben Neves is ruled out, while Nélson Semedo and Pedro Neto remain doubtful for the weekend’s game. José Sá and João Moutinho rejoin the squad after playing a part in Portugal’s FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifying final against North Macedonia, which ended 2-0 in favor of the Navigators.

The Premier League fixture, Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Leeds United, kicks off at 21:00 (GMT+1) on Friday, March 18, at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolves picked up a 1-0 win over ten-man Everton at the weekend, courtesy of a single goal from Conor Coady (49’). A laser-guided cross-in from Rúben Neves picked out the skipper, whose fine header eventually separated both sides at full-time. Wolves are coming off back-to-back victories: LLLWW, while in 7th place, having picked up 46 points from 14W, 4D, and 11L. A win here would see Wolves move into sixth place ahead of West Ham [48 points], who take on Spurs on Sunday. Wolves are unbeaten in five Premier League games played on Friday this season, picking up four victories [4W, 1D, & 0L] and four clean sheets along the way. Furthermore, only the top four [Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal] have more clean sheets than Wolves who have 11 this season. Bruno Lage, who has been coy on his top-five ambitions, would like to see both numbers add up to three points against the Peacocks when Wolves make their 30th appearance of the season. A 3—4—2—1 formation with Raúl Jiménez in attack is expected from Bruno Lage for this clash against the Leeds United.

Having suffered one of their biggest defeats of the season against Spurs, the Toffees are back to take on Wolves in what appears to be a new reality as a relegation-embattled club. The Premier League fixture between Everton F.C. and Wolverhampton Wanderers kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, March 13, at Goodison Park.

Wolves are looking to complete the league double over Everton for the first time since the 1972/73 edition of the Premier League, following their narrow victory in the reverse fixture. The club returns after a 4-0 win over Watford on Thursday, which leaves them in 8th place on the Premier League table with 43 points from 13W, 4D, and 11L. Wolves have a form that reads: WLLLW ahead of this fixture against Everton. Raúl Jiménez (14'), who bagged the opener against the Hornets, had returned to the starting line-up to lead the attack in Lage’s 3—4—2—1 formation. After the impressive win on Thursday, Bruno Lage is expected to keep both shape and personnel in place for Sunday’s game against Everton. Raúl Jiménez has scored in all five of his Premier League appearances against Everton and would like to hit the back of the net again this weekend to keep the 100% record in place.

Having picked up a defeat last weekend, Wolves travel back in time to take on the Hornets in this re-arranged fixture, originally scheduled for Matchday 19. The Premier League clash, Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Watford FC, kicks off at 20:30 (GMT+1) on Thursday, March 10, at the Molineux Stadium.

With the hashtag #WOLCRY trending before kick-off, Wolves were literally left crying after the game, having been swept aside in a 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace at home last weekend. Minutes into the game, Mateta (19’) had the composure for a cool finish, having squeezed the ball through player and keeper from a tight angle. Moments later, Wolves were left with a two-goal deficit after Wilfried Zaha (34’ P.) converted from the penalty spot. The 2-0 loss leaves Wolves with three defeats in a row (WWLLL), and in 8th place, while having 40 points from 12W, 4D, & 11L. "It was too easy for Crystal Palace," Bruno Lage said after the huge blow to his top-six finish ambitions, before having a go at Ki-Jana Hoever in the post-match interview. The youngster was forced off in the 25th minute in what was his second start since December. "Ki is a good example of the young kids; they want everything to happen [now]," said Lage. "When you are not training at the intensity, you are not preparing yourself. When you have a chance, these kinds of things happen," Lage said. Despite picking up defeats in all three Premier League games played on Thursday, Wolves are looking to complete a season double over Watford, having picked up a win in the reverse fixture. Lage's 3—4—2—1 formation could see Raúl Jiménez in attack against the Hornets.

Following last weekend’s narrow defeat to the Hammers, Wolves are back against the Eagles, looking to pick up three points in a bid to consolidate their efforts for a top-five finish. Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Crystal Palace kicks off at 16:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, March 5, at the Molineux Stadium. With the help of the VAR, Graham Scott, referee Andy Madley will take on the responsibilities of the first official.

Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up a 1-0 loss to West Ham last weekend at the London Stadium. A single goal from Tomáš Souček (59’) was enough to determine the outcome of the duel after ninety minutes. The loss leaves Wolves with back-to-back defeats, LWWLL, ahead of this fixture against Crystal Palace. In 8th place, Wolves trail the top-five by five points, having 40 points from 12W, 4D, and 10L. Having lost in the last two episodes against the Eagles, Wolves could lose three in a row for the first time in their Premier League history. However, the club has conceded only twice in the first forty-five minutes of their last 19 games at top level and are looking to keep it tight at the back when they meet Palace on Saturday. In the 1-0 defeat to the Irons, Bruno Lage left the likes of Raúl Jiménez, Podence, and Joao Moutinho out of the starting line-up in what appeared to be a poorly-informed decision, which eventually cost the club three valuable points. The pair, Jiménez and Podence, are expected back in the starting line-up in attack in Lage’s 3—4—3 formation.

After last weekend’s draw against the Magpies, the Hammers are back for the Wolves, looking to pick up a win in their ultimate quest for a top-four finish. The upper mid-table Premier League clash between West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, February 27, at the London Stadium.

Yesterday [Thursday], Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Wolves had taken the lead through Hwang Hee-chan (10’) after a blind back-pass from Gabriel handed him a fine opportunity for a 1v1 against Arsenal’s goalkeeper, before picking out a corner of his choice in goal. Wolves remained with a one-goal lead despite several clear-cut chances at both ends of the pitch until a fabulous goal from Nicolas Pepe (82’) restored parity. Both sides were looking to share the spoils until Lacazette’s effort left Wolves’ Jose Sa (90’+5 O.G.) with an own goal. "It was a good game. I think we deserved more than we got, but this is football," Bruno Lage said after the defeat to the Gunners. The loss leaves Wolves in 7th place with 40 points from 12W, 4D, & 9L, coupled with the form: WLWWL. Bruno Lage’s 3—4—3 formation would see Raúl Jiménez at the center of the attacking trio once again against West Ham.

After the narrow victory over the Bees at the weekend, the Gunners travel back in time for this re-arranged upper mid-table clash, hoping to keep the blood-thirsty Wolves at bay for a place inside the top-five. Arsenal F.C. vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., kicks off at 20:45 (GMT+1) on Thursday, February 24, at the Emirates Stadium.

Wolves are coming off the back of two successive kills, having dealt a fatal blow to Spurs [2-0] and more recently to the Foxes [2-1]. Last weekend's win over Leicester City saw Wolves re-iterate their quest for a top-five finish. Coming off back-to-back victories, WWLWW, Wolves are looking to stretch the blood-thirsty marauding run over Arsenal for three victories in a row. Wolves sit right below Arsenal, separated by two points, while having 40 points from 12W, 4D, & 8L. A victory over Arsenal would see the club claim the prized fifth place ahead of Arsenal at the end of the mid-week round of re-arranged fixtures. A 3—5—2 formation with Raúl Jiménez and Daniel Podence in attack is expected from Bruno Lage on Thursday.
